While every user has slightly different needs, there are a few things which should be considered if you are looking to invest in one of our personal alarms. We feel that these are the five main queries people have when purchasing an alarm:
1. How easy are personal alarms to use?
The buttons on the pendant and base unit are easy to push, whilst the base unit is simple to plug in and set-up. With only one button to use, the alarm is straight forward; simply press the pendant when you or a elderly relative needs help.
For more information you can read our Careline Alarm Guide.
2. When will someone help?
The monitoring centre is in operation 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. When your loved ones are unable to be there; we will be here to help and comfort you. It’s important to us that you are able to get help straight away, when you need it. We will then get in touch with your emergency contact if you need it, and arrange for help to be sent your way.
3. Where can I use it?
The Careline Pendant can be used in the garden, in bed and even in the bath or shower (it’s waterproof). Remember, a good proportion of falls happen when using the bathroom. It has a huge range of up to 100 metres; along as you’re within range you can be as independent as you wish!
4. Who will help?
Our Monitoring Team will answer your call for help and talk to you over the alarm loudspeaker. The team are highly-trained and will identify the best course of action to take to help you. This may be calling a neighbour, friend, family member or the emergency services.
For more information read our post; ‘Inside Our Careline Emergency Response’.
5. How much does it cost?
We realise that although you can’t put a price on a loved ones well-being, cost will always be a necessary consideration. A Careline Yearly Plan costs just £125.00 (excluding VAT) with three months free. See here for more details and our other plans available.
We strive to bring the very best service to as many people as we can, at an affordable price.
